Sagåsen Quarry (Sagasen Quarry; Strandåsen Quarry; Saga 3 Quarry), Sagåsen (Strandåsen), Mørje, Porsgrunn, Telemark, Norway A large terminated aegirine from a pegmatite vein in the Sagåsen quarry. The end termination measures 8x4 cm and the entire specimen is ca 20cm tall. The crystal was found in 2007. |

Langesundsfjorden, Porsgrunn, Telemark, Norway 5.4 x 2.0 x 1.8 cm. This sharp, moderately lustrous, doubly terminated, black aegirine crystal is from the Type Locality area in Norway - Langesundsfjorden. The blocky crystal has an interesting, complex termination and the little sidecar crystal is a nice accent. This is a pristine, floater crystal. Classic, old-time material from the John Ydren ... |
