Huanuni mine, Huanuni, Dalence Province, Oruro Department, Bolivia 6.3 x 4.5 x 2.8 cm. Aheylite is all of the nearly solid covering of greenish-colored botryoidal crystal aggregates on black cassiterite, here. The small acicular crystals are a rare habit of wavellite, surprisingly (sometimes mistaken for single aheylite crystals). X-Ray confirmed. Ex. Richard Kosnar Collection. |
