A composite Red Cloud wulfenite crystal, 1.2 cm wide, on a fragment of matrix encrusted with minute wulfenites. It looks like a twin on (110) but the actual twinning is on (001) and the individual behind the main crystal might be such a twin. Collection and photo, T. Peterson.

Beautiful orange wulfenite crystals mixed in and intergrown with gray gossan matrix. The wulfenite crystals are translucent and very lustrous, with beveled edges. Classic Red-Cloud-orange color. No damage. Overall size of mineral specimen: 3x3x2 cm. Size of individual crystals: 3-22 mm.

Beautiful, bright orange, transparent to translucent Wulfenite crystals form a very pretty cluster perched on a banded Quartz matrix. The Wulfenite crystal group measures to 11mm in size, with sharply formed crystals and adamantine lustre. An eye catching specimen from a mine famous for producing magnificent Wulfenites.
