A superb specimen of Smithsonite with inclusions of Wulfenite from the Glove Mine in southern Arizona. This specimen was unveiled at Tucson 2007 after being uncovered from it's field wrapping-- an april 1956 newspaper. This 5.5cm specimen shows inclusions of paper thin wulfenite crystals within an 8mm coating of deep green Smithsonite. Far ...

Lustrous yellow wulfenite crystals up to 11 mm on limonite matrix. The crystals are thick (1-2 mm) and all are undamaged except one broken crystal. Ex. Magill collection. Overall size of mineral specimen: 33x25x24 mm. Size of individual crystals: 3-11 mm.

Beautiful wulfenite tablets in a closeup (FOV=1.7 cm) of a miniature from the Glove Mine. The orange-brown mineral overgrowing the central zone of the wulfenite is descloizite, confirmed by SEM/EDS analysis. Collection and photo, T. Peterson.
