Wheal Katherine, Two Bridges, Southern Dartmoor, Dartmoor & Teign Valley District, Devon, England, UK A specimen of Cassiterite in a predominately white Quartz matrix with a little Chlorite. The Cassiterite features as 2 - 3mm veinlets sitting next to the dark Chlorite edging the Quartz.The Cassiterite is of a gingery brown colour and comes from the Tinner's rubble piles at Wheal Catherine. Specimen measures 3.5 x 2 x 1.5 inches |

Hooten Wheals (Hexworthy Mine), Two Bridges, Southern Dartmoor, Dartmoor & Teign Valley District, Devon, England, UK Concentrate panned on site in the brook from dirt scraped off the dressing floors. It has a very orange almost golden colour. There's about 10 grams in the pot. for reference the neck of the pot is 22mm diameter.
