Spinel : MgAl2O4

Very sharp, and nearly complete, set of Gahnite crystals. The luster is very good, and the largest crystal is 1.9 cm on edge. A truly superb specimen for the species and historic locality. It has old red ink catalogue numbering on one rear face. 3 x 2.8 x 2.5 cm
