6.8 x 3.8 x 1.8 cm. An elegant spray of deep bottle-green crystals of epidote, with the unusually aesthetic addition of a transparent quartz crystal lying across the bottom of the spray. Just a very few of the terminations are incomplete, and they are hard to find amongst the naturally rough terminations of the other crystals. This is a super ...

Three large and about three lesser sprays of columnar epidote are randomly joined to make this very well-balanced specimen, about 8 cm high in this view. Its main attraction being its interesting architecture, the presence of a few nicks and bruises do not detract much. Collection and photo, T. Peterson.
