Oktyabr'skoe Mo-U Deposit, Strel'tsovskoe Mo-U ore field, Krasnokamensk, Chitinskaya Oblast', Transbaikalia (Zabaykalye), Eastern-Siberian Region, Russia

Inclusion of metallic grain of galena into dark coloured orange-brown glassy masses of bauranoite pseudomorphoses after pitchblende in felsite matrix. More bright yellowish-orange earthy masses are dehydrated portions of bauranoite. Specimen size is 2.5x1.5x0.8 cm. Collected by Larisa N. Belova. Pavel M. Kartashov collection and photo.

Strel'tsovskoe Mo-U ore field, Krasnokamensk, Chitinskaya Oblast', Transbaikalia (Zabaykalye), Eastern-Siberian Region, Russia

The largest which I somewhen seen compact masse of calciouranoite. Its composition is (Ca.81Ba.10Pb.09)1.00U2.00O7*5H2O. More bright yellow crust is metacalciouranoite. Specimen size is 5x4x2 cm and its radioactivity is 7300 μR/h. Collected by Larisa N. Belova in 70th in Tulukui quarry. Pavel M. Kartashov analysis, collection and photo.

Tulukuevskoe U deposit (Tulukui quarry), Strel'tsovskoe Mo-U ore field, Krasnokamensk, Chitinskaya Oblast', Transbaikalia (Zabaykalye), Eastern-Siberian Region, Russia

Dark blue slightly wet (penetrated with sulphuric acid solution) new formed rich ilsemannite masses on calcite matrix. Specimen size 8x4x2.5 cm. Ilsemannite in this locality slowly transform to powellite (very interesting variety with UO2 content up to 15%). Collected in 2002 on middle levels of Tulukui quarry. Pavel M. Ilsemannite : Mo3O8·nH2O, Uranophane : Ca(UO2)2[HSiO4]2 · 5H2O

Oktyabr'skoe Mo-U Deposit, Strel'tsovskoe Mo-U ore field, Krasnokamensk, Chitinskaya Oblast', Transbaikalia (Zabaykalye), Eastern-Siberian Region, Russia

Photo of a mine wall. Metre-size blue Ilsemannite spot on the wall of adit. In exactly this ilsemannite crust Tengchongite microinclusions were determined. Yellow spots are mainly composed by Uranophane and partially by Natrozippeite. Every marked part of the surveyor's rod show 10 cm. Photo of Aleksei P. Aleshin.
