Rock H. Currier hunted down a few nice micromounts for these photographs. Larger crystals measured up to 3.0 mm, but they showed lots of damage. Smaller but sharper are the pseudohexagonal monoclinic crystals (trillings in fact) in this 1.2 mm field of view. A huge cabinet-sized specimen rich with dozens of sparkling, brilliant crystals of caracolite to several mm in size. This is one of the larger specimens, if not the most attractive because of the size, from a new find which is redefining the standard for the species. 15 x 10 x 7 cm
