Aeschynite-(Nd) : (Nd,Ce,Ca)(Ti,Nb)2(O,OH)6, Ferriallanite-(Ce) : {CaCe}{Fe3+AlFe2+}[O|OH|SiO4|Si2O7], Fluorite : CaF2

Chungju deposit, Mt. Eorae, Joongwon-gun, Chungju (Chung Won Kum; Chung-ju), Chungcheongbukdo (Chungchong-pukto), South Korea

8 mm long prismatic aeschynite-(Nd) crystals (in the upper right corner of the specimen) in small pegmatite weinlet, crosscuting layer of zircon-feldspar-quartz hornfels with abundant finegrained aeschynite-(Nd). More thick pegmatite veinlet in the opposite side of the specimen has violet fluorite core and dark rim of ferriallanite-(Ce). Matrix ...

Ferriallanite-(Ce) : {CaCe}{Fe3+AlFe2+}[O|OH|SiO4|Si2O7], Röntgenite-(Ce) : Ca2(Ce,La)3[F3|(CO3)5]

Chungju deposit, Mt. Eorae, Joongwon-gun, Chungju (Chung Won Kum; Chung-ju), Chungcheongbukdo (Chungchong-pukto), South Korea

Agregate of Ferriallanite-(Ce) with excess of Fe3+ transitive to new end memeber CaCeFe3+Fe3+Fe2+[SiO4][Si2O7]O(OH). Ferriallanite of such copmposition is rare on the deposit and was formed only near specific andradite skarn spots with hematite.
On the photo granular dark-brown segregations of Ferriallanite in the Quartz vein deposited on the ...
