Beryl : Be3Al2Si6O18

Portion of giant beryl crystal cluster in rose quartz and tan microcline. Longest measured crystal in cluster was 5.49 x 1.07 x ~1.07 meters. Photo shows part of the cluster. There were ten crystals in the cluster all larger than 3 meters long. Weight was estimated to about 200 metric tons, but that amount was undoubtedly an exaggeration. Man ...
