Engstligenalp (incl. Engstligengrat), Adelboden, Engstlige Valley, Kander Valley, Bern, Switzerland

Translucent adularia crystals in parallel orientation with minor quartz microcrystals on the surface in several areas. Minor edge wear. Fully crystallized front and back. Ex. Robert C. Linck (1905-1970). Overall size of mineral specimen: 9x5x4 cm. Size of individual crystals: 5-40 mm.

Adularia : KAlSi3O8, Quartz : SiO2

Griesseren Valley, Maderanertal, Uri, Switzerland

Large points of colorless quartz up to 4 cm. Overgrown on the quartz are sharp, white adularia crystals up to 15 mm. The specimen is fully crystallized on all surfaces - a floater. No damage. Overall size of mineral specimen: 9x7x3 cm. Size of individual crystals: 2-40 mm.

Maderanertal, Uri, Switzerland

Lustrous, transparent smoky quartz crystals up to 2 cm with white adularia crystals up to 18 mm. No damage. Label on bottom says: Rinaerberg, Stockli, Maderanertal. Collector's label said: Tiefen Glacier, Furka, Switzerland. Overall size of mineral specimen: 8x6x4 cm. Size of individual crystals: 5-20 mm.
