Xichang Mine, Xichang Co., Liangshan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, China 19.4 x 17.4 x 9.9 cm. Aragonite is typically a plain white or off-white. But these rather rare Chinese aragonites from Xichang have a copper content that turns them this gorgeous sky blue! They combine botryoidal forms with small stalactitic or "sand-drip" forms. |
