Doubly terminated prismatic crystal, transparent and of an good color. The main termination is very rich in pyramidal faces, combined with the flat pinacoidal face. The other termination is more complex and it is partially hidden by a second crystal, smaller and with abundant faces of dissolution.

Chrysoberyl : BeAl2O4

Pancas (Vila de Pancas), Espírito Santo, Southeast Region, Brazil

Floater (no point of attachment) cluster of twinned chrysoberyl crystals with no matrix attached. The chrysoberyl is very lustrous with yellow-green-gray color. No damage. Old label from L. Conklin. Overall size of mineral specimen: 2.5x2x2 cm. Size of individual crystals: 1-2 cm.
