4.3 x 2.4 x 2.4 cm. A crystal of glass-clear gem goshenite (colorless beryl) that was naturally etched by corrosive solutions in the pocket, leaving this weird form. The crystal is so clear that it really does look like a shard of glass. Weighs 29 grams. Ex. Richard Hauck Collection.

Beryl (Var: Morganite) : Be3Al2Si6O18

Caiana (Cayana), Minas Gerais, Southeast Region, Brazil

Complex cluster of pink beryl variety morganite mixed in with colorless quartz. The mixture is so complex that it is difficult to photograph. The specimen must be seen in person to be appreciated. Overall size of mineral specimen: 7x7x4 cm. Size of individual crystals: 5-30 mm.
