Wheal Muttrall (Wheal Muttrell), Wheal Gorland, St Day United Mines (Poldice Mines), Gwennap area, Camborne - Redruth - St Day District, Cornwall, England, UK This specimen comprises of hundreds of red octohedral cuprite crystals and red chalcotrichite on possibly a copper matrix as the specimen is a fairish weight, though the copper is hard to see as there is so much cuprite present. The largest cuprite crystal measures 4mm long. There is a K P Hammond label with this specimen. 9.5 x 5.5 x 3.5 cm. ... |
