Triphylite : LiFe2+[PO4], Quartz : SiO2, Feldspar Group

A nice triphylite specimen from the Stockholm International Airport, exact loc should be; Norrskogen, Arlanda (etc). Ironstained qz(right), triphyline (gray-green), quartz and feldspar (gray)- one can see a “S” line (NW-SE) with the triphyline in the upper part (~half the surface). Size 60x120 (mm), A. Österlöf collection, found summer -97.

Triplite : (Mn2+,Fe2+)2[(F,OH)|PO4], Vivianite : Fe2+3(PO4)2·8H2O

A chunk with massive triplite (dark brown) and vivianite (bluegray) in small cracks from the Stockholm International Airport, also Norrskogen, Arlanda. Ironstained quartz (top and right, light brown) and minor muscovite (11 o’clock). Size 55 x 60 x 90 (mm), A. Österlöf collection - found summer -97.
