Red Hill, Heathcote, Victoria, Australia Polished section (1mm FOV) of a chromite grain extracted from a serpentinised Cambrian boninitic cumulate from the Heathcote Fault Zone. The core of the crystal is chromite, with an overgrowth of magnetite, which is intergrown with hematite (martitized). |
