An EXCELLENT, sharp and lustrous sixling chrysoberyl variety alexandrite from Bahia, Brazil. This fine specimen shows the red to green pleochrosim characteristic of alexandrite. Ex Sam Nasser Collection. it IS purple when baclit strongly with halogen and it is green in sunlight, quite clearly, in person. 2.4 x 2.3 x 1.1 cm

Twinned crystals of chrysoberyl variety alexandrite in schist-like matrix. The specimen has noticeable green to purple color change and the twinned crystals are distinctly visible. Overall size of mineral specimen: 4x2.5x1.4\5 cm. Size of individual crystals: 1 cm.

Two interconnected sixling twins of chrysoberyl variety alexandrite. There are many faces, some with schist-like matrix coating, making this specimen difficult to photograph - must be seen in person to be appreciated. Overall size of mineral specimen: 22x18x12 mm. Size of individual crystals: 5-10 mm.

Sixling twin of chrysoberyl variety alexandrite in hexagonal shape with faces covered with schist-like matrix coating. Fully crystallized front and back with no apparent point of attachment - a floater. Overall size of mineral specimen: 20x20x15 mm. Size of individual crystals: 10 mm.
