Desmont Mine (Homer Yellowknife prospect), Wilberforce, Monmouth Township, Haliburton Co., Ontario, Canada

Here is a piece of green Serpentine from the Desmont Mine, near Wilberforce. The sample is 9.2 cm long, 5.4 cm wide, and 5.3 cm tall. The piece has white calcite veins crossing through the sample.

Carey mine (Carey Canada Inc. mine), Tring-Jonction, Robert-Cliche RCM, Chaudière-Appalaches, Québec, Canada

This is a 1 3/4" x 2" piece of lustrous green serpentine. Translucent at the edges. This was found in the rock dumps at the Carey Asbestos Mine, Tring Jonction, Robert-Cliche County Region Municipality, Quebec, Canada. This was found April 2009 by Fred Schuster.

Dypingdal Serpentine-magnesite deposit, Snarum, Modum, Buskerud, Norway

Serpentine "crystals" pseudomorph after olivine. The white parts are hydrotalcite.
