Massive specimen of dark algodonite with vuggy areas filled with minute crystals. From the well known Lechner collection (Austrian), see article in Min. Rec., Nov.-Dec., 1991, pp. 433-438. Ex. Lechner collection #459 (ca. 1900, Austria). Overall size of mineral specimen: 4x3x3 cm. Size of individual crystals: micro.

A showy, old-time specimen of massive, lightly iridescent, brassy algodonite with radial, colorless to off-white quartz crystal clusters from the famous Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan. Rounded nodule of algodonite with concave area in the center that shows crude crystals. One crystal is 5 mm long, quite large for the locality. The outer surfaces are worn (glacial action?) Overall size of mineral specimen: 7x6x4 cm. Size of individual crystals: 1-5 mm.

8.4 x 5.3 x 5.3 cm. A brassy, nearly solid specimen of algodonite, a rare copper arsenide, from the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan. Undoubtedly an old piece. Ex Dr. Gary Hansen Collection. HEAVY at 474 grams or just over 1 pound!
