1mm spray of Cotunnite crystals. The Cotunnite was formed when ascending chloride rich waters hit a Galena pocket in this coal mine. Note how fresh the Galena still is.

Field of view around 0.8 cm. Transparent crystals of cotunnite; record says this was collected after the 1944 eruption. It was purchased in 1959 for the grand sum of $2.00.
