Sikhote-Alin meteorite, Paseka village, Sikhote-Alin Mts, Primorskiy Kray, Far-Eastern Region, Russia Large nickel-iron meteorite with a size of 3 x 3,5 cm and a weight of 40 g from the famous meteorite impact crater discovered in Sikhote-Alin, 1947. The meteorite is an iron type, thought to be core material from a planetary body. On the picture we still see the good saved, typical melting crust. |
