May Downs Station, Mount Isa district, Mt Isa - Cloncurry area, Queensland, Australia 8.4 x 8.4 x 6.2 cm. A wonderfully formed pair of dravite crystals composed of smaller, complex, interpenetrating crystals from Australia. The lustrous, blocky, black crystals look just like columnar basalt. Complete-all-around with only modest contacting on one end. A classic example for the locality. |
