Dayakou, Nanwenhe complex, Malipo Co., Wenshan Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China 6.7 x 1.1 x .9 cm, 5.0 x 0.7 x 0.5 cm. A 4.1 cm, euhedral, pleasing green emerald crystal is frozen in massive quartz matrix in this fine specimen from recent finds in China. While these crystals certainly are not as gemmy as good Colombian ones, they are lustrous and translucent. One end is terminated against the quartz, while the other end is broken. Highly ... |
