4.4 x 1.4 x 1.4 cm. Lustrous, translucent, colorless epistilbite blades fill the sculptural vug in basalt matrix on this fine piece from a classic Iceland locale - Fossarfell. Epistilbite : CaAl2Si6O16·5H2O, Heulandite, Quartz : SiO2

Jalgaon District, Maharashtra, India

A slamon-pink cluster of incredibly well-formed euhedral epistilbite crystals, showing tru chisel-type terminations, flanked by two splaying wings of heaulandite! I had this trimmed down from a much larger specimen to highlight the unusual combination, and I think the result is quite unique. 8.5 x 7.2 x 4.2 cm
