Apatite-(CaF) : Ca5[F|(PO4)3], Quartz : SiO2, Bertrandite : Be4[(OH)2|Si2O7]

Waisanen Quarry (Tamminen-Waisanen Quarry), Greenwood, Oxford Co., Maine, USA

Specimen measures 25 mm x 16 mm and consists of several pale purple fluorapatite crystals perched on a matrix of a quartz crystal and transparent bertrandite crystals. This specimen originated during the 1963 mining by Frank Perham. S. Bonney specimen and photo.
