Feldspar Group

Broken Hill, Yancowinna Co., New South Wales, Australia

9.3 x 8.4 x 3.8 cm. A BIG, RICH specimen of rare plumbian (lead-rich) feldspar, which gets its pretty, translucent light green color from the lead content. Some crystal faces are present, embedded, but it is mostly massive. Probably from the 1920s-1940s era.

Feldspar Group, Quartz : SiO2

Mogok, Sagaing District, Mandalay Division, Burma (Myanmar)

5.8 x 3.9 x 2.7 cm. Feldspar is generally pretty dull, but in the case of this unusually aesthetic specimen from Mogok, you have a LUSTROUS and razor-sharp crystal, with pretty bevels, and actually some COLOR to it. A unique and attractive example of a fine crystal of an otherwise ordinary mineral.
