Germanite occur at Kipushi as fracture filling in Bornite and is very rare. This specimen shows such a filling of a typical colour.

A piece of Germanite rich ore from Tsumeb. The specimen has a shiny metallic lustre and consists of silver and golden crystalline Sulphides with large areas of pinkish-purple Germanite.
