Biermann & Codfish Hill quarries, Bethel, Fairfield Co., Connecticut, USA This specimen consists of micro uraninite grains up to about 0.5mm (visible under magnification) dispersed in a small lump of mica with associated brilliant yellow alteration products (gummite). The yellow mineralized area is about 20mm across. Self collected. Overall specimen size 5X2.5X1.5cm. Photographed under artificial light. |
