El Souf, Sahara Desert, El Oued Province, Algeria Big and beautiful gypsum cluster. The well formed and sharply edged crystals show a rough surface because of included sand grains. Single crystals about 13 cm. Specimen size: 29 x 17 x 13 cm. |

The slim shape of the crystals is due to the action of the wind at the time of the growth of the crystals.
