Santa Maria de Itabira mine, Santa Maria de Itabira, Minas Gerais, Southeast Region, Brazil

Large blocky crystal of green microcline variety amazonite 6 cm across with thin, bladed crystals of colorless albite variety cleavlandite 3.5 cm each. There is a partial fracture (natural) in the amazonite that is visible, but does not extend through. Overall size of mineral specimen: 8x6x4 cm. Size of individual crystals: 35-60 mm.
