Knob of white aragonite completely covered with yellow-brown mimetite. Originally acquired from Bob Jones in 1975, with later note in 1987 stating that Jones believes it to be the Hedyphane variety of Mimetite - not pyromorphite as originally labeled. Ex. Dr. E. Knob of white aragonite completely covered with yellow-brown mimetite crystals. Originally labeled as pyromorphite, most likely this is Hedyphane variety of Mimetite. No damage. Ex. R. Eaton collection (Rochester, NY). Overall size of mineral specimen: 9x6x6 cm. Size of individual crystals: 2-4 mm.
