Amboasary District, Anosy (Fort Dauphin) Region, Tuléar (Toliara) Province, Madagascar 2.4 x 1.9 x 1.2 cm. Hibonite is an ULTRA-RARE rare-earth oxide with cerium and titanium, among other more common elements. This highly lustrous, sharply hexagonal, dark gray crystal is from the Type Locality area in Madgascar - the Fort Dauphin Region. This is a very fine, large crystal for the species. Ex.
