6.2 x 6.1 x 2.5 cm. Metallic, brilliant nickel-green honessite crystals richly fill a 3 cm vug in this impressive matrix specimen from a now closed locality. Honessite is much rarer than its close-relative millerite. Ex. Martin Zinn Collection.

Hair-like crystals of rare honessite inside a quartz geode. The honessite crystals resemble millerite but have a distinct green color. Mounted in an acrylic display box for protection. Looks beautiful under magnification. No damage. Overall size of mineral specimen: 3x2x1.5 cm. Size of individual crystals: 3-5 mm.

This is a superb example of this rare nickel species, with brilliant hulk-green crystals to 1 cm in a protected cavity in a quartz geode. I believe this is the world's best locality for the species....at least, I have not seen good honessite from other places for sale. Honessite is MUCH more rare than the millerite found in geodes from this ...
