Rich pale brownish masses of hurlbutite are frozen within this massive quartz matrix. Very good example for the species. Previous label from the collection of Jack Parnau. Size: 4.1 x 5.2 x 4.9 cm.

Hurlbutite from Västanå iron mine was described in GFF volume 124 (2002), pp. 41-43. Currently only one specimen with hurlbutite has been found in Västanå.
