Tourmaline Queen Mine (MS 6458; Tourmaline Queen No. 3), Tourmaline Queen Mountain (Pala; Queen), Pala District, San Diego Co., California, USA 5.2 x 4.3 x 4.2 cm. A superb indicolite specimen from this mine. Apparently they were found in the 1960s. This robust crystal has great color and with moderate backlighting only, it glows. With strong backlighting, it goes translucent. It is complete on the front. Weighs 184 grams. Ex. Pala International/William Larson Collection. |
