N'Chwaning Mines, Kuruman, Kalahari manganese fields, Northern Cape Province, South Africa 7.8 x 4.1 x 1.8 cm. A resplendent, sparkling, large specimen of an incredibly rich coating of the very rare species Jouravskite. The carpet of gemmy yellow microcrystals (up to 1 mm) covers virtually all of the matrix on the presentation side. This rare hydrated, calcium, manganese sulfate, carbonate comes out only rarely from the Kalahari Fields. ... |
