Ploskaya Mt, Western Keivy Massif, Kola Peninsula, Murmanskaja Oblast', Northern Region, Russia Typical appearance of keiviite-(Y) at the locality. It grows in thin veinlets of later light-violet to colourless yttrofluorite-III (with only ~1-2 % of Y) in amazonite blocks. Keiviite-(Y) forms tabular creamy-white crystals up to 1-2 mm in such veinlets. FOV is 1.5x1.2 cm. Selfcollected in September 1990. Pavel M. Kartashov collection and photo. |

Ploskaya Mt, Western Keivy Massif, Kola Peninsula, Murmanskaja Oblast', Northern Region, Russia White 0.8 mm segregation of keiviite-(Y) tabular crystals in later monazite-hydromica veinlet within massive amazonite. Keiviite-(Y) in difference from Keiviite-(Yb) grow only in later veinlets of light-violet yttrofluorite-III or such type hidromica one. Keiviite-(Yb) is much more abundant at the locality and form minute impregnation in violet ... |
