This specimen is just so beautiful and uncommon - sparkly maroon crystals of andradite on euhedral crystals of hematite. Even if you collect N''Chwaning stuff, I doubt you have one of these. 3.2 x 3 x 2.8 cm

Rhombododecahedral andradite garnets with variously intense color, and white bementite (according to the label) present as aggregates of microscopic hexagonal platelets.

Acquired in 2007.

Dark red Andradite Garnets cover 3 sides of the matrix, crystals are translucent. The side edge looks damaged this is fans/sprays of Celestine.
