Lévyne

Laidley Creek, Gatton Valley, Queensland, Australia

This is a pristine and unique? form of what we believe to be Erionite or Offretite needles epitaxially grown on tabular Levyne. The former normally occur as ultra-short tightly packed needles, giving the transluscent to clear Levyne crystals a matt white appearance.
Large Levyne crystal ~1.25mm.
