Another rock found by grandma during the 1960's or early 70's it's a neat rock the black crystals go through the entire rock stick out on opposite sides.The tag read on one side Mangaan and on the other side it read Hutchinson township,Ontario,Canada. Here a matrix of non crystalline manganite was coated by a druse of micro quartz crystals upon which blocky 5 mm manganite crystals formed. Some of these are again coated with a druse of micro quartz. Collected, photographed by and in the collection of Bill Morgenstern.

Blocky 1 cm manganite crystals sit on a matrix of small botrioydal goethite. This fine old cabinet specimen(8.5 x 7 x 4 cm) was collected in 1987, photographed by, and is in the collection of Bill Morgenstern.
