Rosebud Mine, Rosebud Station, Mary Kathleen district, Mt Isa - Cloncurry area, Queensland, Australia

An interesting cordierite-anthophyllite rock, which outcrops 700m south-west of the Rosebud workings, at the bend in Corella Creek. The cordierite crystals form round cm-size porphyroblasts that the anthophyllite fibers wrap around. Specimen 12cm long.
