Veshnyakovskoe (Elash) Rb-Ta deposit, Eastern Sayan, Sayan Mts, Southern Siberia, Russia

Grains of megascopically dark greenish-blue manganoan fluorapatite in granite pegmatite matrix. Microscopically its small grains (~1 mm in size) are transparent and blue without greenish tint. MnO content in this apatite varies from 1.78 to 5.10 wt.%. So most manganoan zones have composition (Ca4.64Mn.36)5.00[PO4]3(F.86OH.14). Specimen size is ...
