Tiny drop-like isometric crystals of mayenite in Ca-rich matrix. Black co-existing mineral could be jasmundite or brownmillerite (or eventually magnesioferrite). Recent research (i.e. Boysen et al. 2007) shows, that the structure of the mineral, based on aluminate framework, with 'free oxygen' distributed within in, giving (at high temperatures) ...
