Fianel Mine, Ausserferrera, Ferrera Valley, Hinterrhein Valley, Grischun (Grisons; Graubünden), Switzerland

Deep-red waxy coating of cryptocrystalline ansermetite in open altered fracture. Minor fianelite visibile as lighter red crystals. From one of the specimens used for determination of ansermetite as new mineral species. Collected 1998.
