Moschellandsbergite, with minor cinnabar and siderite. The 3.5 mm cubooctahedral crystal in the center appears somewhat detached from the large aggregate due to shrinking cracks caused by a loss of mercury. P Haas photograph.

6.0 x 4.8 x 4.0 cm. A sharp 4mm crystal on matrix from this famous find. No doubt other species are on the matrix as well, but this moschellandsbergite crystal is sharply and nicely displayed. 4.4 x 3.8 x 2.7 cm. This is a VERY RARE matrix moschellandsbergite from a famous and important find in the mid-1800's (the species was only actually described some time later!).
