Roncari quarry (Tilcon quarry), East Granby, Hartford Co., Connecticut, USA Rosette formation of colorless apophyllite crystals with greenish chlorite inclusions. The apophyllite crystals are flattened, tabular crystals with beveled edges and complex corner faces. This famous quarry has been closed to collecting for many years. Overall size of mineral specimen: 34x30x20 mm. Size of individual crystals: 10-25 mm. |
