Big, not common Apophyllite-(NaF) crystal cluster white-pinkish color, with some transparent crystals. 7x6x4,5 cm. From a very old collection, in my personal Alpine Minerals suite. Photo Simone Citon.

Franklin Mine, Franklin, Franklin Mining District, Sussex Co., New Jersey, USA

This is a close-up picture with field of view about 2cm by 2cm. This specimen is from the the footing of the Palmer shaft in the Franklin Mine, Franklin, NJ. It retains the old name of 'Franklin Furnace, NJ'. The Apophyllite occured in these rosettes or books of crystals. These specimens are fairly uncommon today.
