Bluish neptunite crystals in darker quartz and grei microcline. Thin section under polarised light, crossed nicols. Size 15*10mm, 2005.

Pegmatite No. 45, Lepkhe-Nel'm Mt. (Lepkhe-Nelm Mt.), Seidozero Lake, Lovozero Massif, Kola Peninsula, Murmanskaja Oblast', Northern Region, Russia

10x8x8 mm double terminated natrolite crystal with dark-brown neptunite ctystals. The pegmatite #45 is the single occurrence of usual neptunite both in Lovozero and Khibina massifs, where mangan-neptunite is wide spread. Selfcollected in July of 1994. Pavel M. Kartashov collection and photo.

A very interesting, very aesthetic, cluster of curved bladed crystals with rough terminations on both ends. The blades have a deep cinnamon-brown color and excellent luster. This is not your average Neptunite, by any means. A very fine and unusual specimen. 3.6 x 1.2 x 1 cm
